Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the super spy on the silver screen, The Macallan’s limited edition James Bond single malt launches with this exquisitely illustrated online ad created by The Leith Agency in collaboration with the brand and Eon.

Produced by Studio AKA, the film features original storyboards from the franchise which began 5 October 1962, when Sean Connery swaggered onto our screens in Dr No

Troy Farnworth, CCO, Leith agency commented: " We’re delighted to have worked with The Macallan Creative team to script and bring this collaboration to life. Being able to access the Bond archives and use the original blueprints for the animation has been incredible."

Though his most famous tipple of choice was a shaken martini, 007 was also partial to a spot of The Macallan, with Daniel Craig drinking it in Spectre and Skyfall.

Dalness Lodge, where Bond sipped The Macallan in Skyfall, was the ancestral home of both 007 and writer Ian Fleming.

The spot is backed by what is possibly cinema’s most memorable soundtrack, the James Bond theme composed by Monty Norman.

Fun fact: Norman’s tune for the famous theme was based on a comic, Asian-inspired ditty about sneezing called Good Sign, Bad Sign, which was part of an abandoned 1950s musical by V.S. Naipaul called A House For Mr Biswas.
