Whether it's a birthday party, a night out with friends or a holiday somewhere sunny, we've all experienced FOMO; the fear of missing out.
Not being present for such events can cause stress and anxiety. Maybe you'll be the person who missed Tina's amazing rendition of Aint No Mountain High Enough at the local karaoke bar, or who wasn't there to witness Dave do the caterpillar to hundreds of approving clubbers.
The reality, of course, is that most nights out are not what they are cracked up to be and most of us often wish we were staying in, at home with friends or family. Domino’s latest campaign celebrates just that, encouraging people to turn their back on an evening out and instead just relax indoors. Reassuring them that they staying in is the new going out they are and proclaiming that Domino’s is indeed The Official Food of JOMO; The Joy Of Missing Out.
VCCP London is behind the campaign, which was directed by Outsider's Bart Timmer, and which gives an honest and comedic depiction of those moments you’re missing out on. "When you boil it down, what a lot of brands spend their time doing is getting you to carpe-the-diem," said Sam Heath, Creative Director at VCCP. "We relish the opportunity to do the exact opposite - celebrating a night in with Domino's as an active choice. If you're suffering from FOMO, then JOMO is your less pretentious, more relaxed remedy - I mean, I know where I'd rather be!"
