Berlin-based creative agency HeimatTBWA has launched this fun and captivating campaign for DIY retail brand Hornbach, directed by Steve Rogers through Tony Petersen Film.
With ingenious set design, a playful soundtrack and remarkable attention to detail, the spot follows a happy fella as he goes about his daily life in a cramped, one-square-metre-sized world.
After getting ready in his multipurpose living space, he crawls up a spaceship-like ladder, tending to his cleverly tucked-away mushroom farm on the way. He clambers through a trap door into a pottery workshop, where he swiftly crafts a clay vase on his way to a dinner date at a vertical restaurant, where other diners dangle on chairs above.
The camera pans out to see an entire world of conjoined miniature homes, before the main character falls through a final tiny door, onto a regular-sized stage to receive a roaring round of applause.
