Helmed by Somesuch director King She through MYGOSH.co, this promo for Cassie Marin's track Tanto turns an ailment into art with arresting visualisations inspired by Marin’s auto-immune condition.

Marin lives with a disorder that impairs her body's ability to process toxins, particularly metals, which causes painful skin abnormalities such as rashes and wounds.

The directing duo decided to approach this story of sickness by following Marin's journey through malady, with a series of vibrant beautifully styled scenes and dynamic dance-hall style performance.

The portrayal of Marin purging metal out of her skin was a combined effort between in-camera effects (thermography, make-up, lensing, set builds) and various post techniques, including point cloud photogrammetry, key frame scaling, multi media compositing, 2D animation, AI generation, and CGI.
