With the help of agency Wieden + Kennedy, beer brand Budweiser has launched this clever initiative in Columbia, which will see its drinks’ packaging doubling as a music magazine, titled BudMag

At the heart of the campaign is this animated, stylised short film, directed by Cesar Brandao (Drvnk) through Joint Editorial.

The film explores how, inspired by a bygone era when every artist’s dream was to be featured in a magazine, the brand collaborated with iconic music publication Rolling Stone, to transform the cardboard outer packaging of its 12-packs of beer into an unprecedented, fully functional magazine. 

Furthering the brand’s commitment to the Latin-American music scene, which has been consolidated as one of the most animated and creative in the world, Budweiser aims to use its distribution reach to promote four new Colombian artists – Nath, Kapo, Benú, and Sai – on a national level.
