Global production company Stadium has announced the signing of the acclaimed directing duo Ghost + Cow.

Known for their unique ability to create comedic worlds and characters, the duo (formed by John Carlucci and Brandon LaGanke) blend deadpan performance, dialogue-driven direction, and situational humour to deliver memorable stories in commercials, branded content, narrative films, and music videos.

Carlucci and LaGanke's diverse backgrounds in filmmaking, including producing, editing, shooting, and art direction, have enabled them to develop a distinctive style. They have worked on various projects for clients such as ESPN, SoFi, Johnnie Walker, and Nationwide Insurance. Their combined efforts in advertising have earned numerous awards, including a Silver Pencil for Direction at the One Show, Best Branded Web Film at ThinkLA's Emerging Directors Showcase, and recognition as SHOOT Magazine's 'New Directors to Watch.'

Their short film FOX and MARS won a Bronze Lion at the 2018 Cannes Lions, and their Home Depot Pinterest campaign received a Silver Lion. Additionally, they received a Silver Promax award for their IFC and Portlandia TVC.

In addition, their first feature film, Drunk Bus, starring Charlie Tahan (Ozark), Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom) and Will Forte World Premiered at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival in the Visions category and won Best Feature and Audience Award at the 2020 San Diego Film Festival, among many other awards. They’re currently in pre-production on their sophomore film.

“It was clear to us that Stadium is a production company with a vision for how they see the growth of their company,” says LaGanke and Carlucci. “They produce great commercial work and are also expanding into other content/entertainment spaces, allowing their directors to contribute to and curate a creative culture. That’s something that we need as artists and filmmakers to have the opportunity to grow and explore.”
