Recently signed Missing Link Films director Megan Maczko has just completed her first commercial shoot. As first shoots go it could not be better than creating a film for Guinness through agency R/GA.

The film presents a Guinness competition to align with St Patrick’s Day, where individuals are encouraged to take selfies with three friends and hashtag #GUINNESSGETTOGETHER. The winning group will receive a holiday to Ireland, including being given the keys to a pub for 48 hours.

Such a unique and exciting opportunity is reflected in Megan’s fast paced and joyful film that celebrates friendship. Presented in reverse, the spot takes us on a journey from a group of friends toasting their good fortune as they enjoy a pint of Guinness in Ireland. Right back to where is all began with them taking their winning selfie.

Of her first commercial shoot Megan comments:

“I couldn’t have asked for a more brilliant experience straight out the gate than directing a series of films for Guinness and St. Patrick’s Day. It was a dream and I loved every second; I got to work with world-class producers on both sides and the most incredible cast and crew who all delivered stellar work.

From the first call with R/GA, I felt connected with the creatives, which translated into a super enjoyable and satisfying collaboration. And quite simply Ben Link and Heather Link of Missing Link Films are magicians. Their support, creative vision and boundless enthusiasm allow almost anything to be possible. It’s something to behold.

We set out to make these spots a joyful celebration of friendship, Ireland and of course, Guinness. I think we have achieved that, which makes me very happy indeed.”

Executive Director of Absolute, Sally Heath says:

“It was a delight to welcome Missing Link and Megan back to Absolute and work on Megan's first commercial with Adam Clarke grading for her once again”.
