Directed by Tore Frandsen through New Land, this adventurous campaign for logistics company Maersk sees British comedian Diane Spencer embark on a quest through deserts, jungles and caves to deliver a precious crystal.
With Maersk employee Astrid - played by actress Vanessa Vanderpuye - guiding her towards the right path, Spencer overcomes challenges and dead ends to successfully complete her mission.
To create the impressive sets contributing to the spot's immersive storytelling, New Land used an LED volume stage – a circular screen inside which the actress was placed to create the illusion of her being somewhere else.
"This new technology offers endless possibilities, but as the volume was rather unknown territory for all of us, we had to start a journey on our own to make this happen." explained Frandsen. "We had to do plenty of rewrites of the script to get the most out of the volume. The journey was long and tough, but in the end the result was worth the struggle."
