Actress, writer and all-around UK national treasure Dawn French has been associated with M&S's festive ads since lending her voice to the brand's Christmas Fairy in 2021, but for 2024's effort, we're getting the lady herself.
Not only that, French and Fairy are starring in a six-part series, launching with today's A Christmas Journey, in which the duo prepare a spread for a street-load of strangers.
Directed by Merman's terrific MJ Delaney, herself no stranger to episodic content having worked on both Ted Lasso and Renegade Nell, the opening spot allows French to playfully riff on her charming persona.
Following the launch ad, the M&S will unveil Gifting (13th Nov), Party Food (20th Nov), Big Day (17th Dec), Dessert (17th Dec), and New Year’s Eve (26th Dec) spots, each showcasing a unique festive offering to add a magical touch to the season. We'll add them to this article as they break.
