Boutique audio post production company Heard City announced it has hired industry veteran Seth Phillips as Mixer/Sound Designer in its New York City office.

He started out in the audio industry as a DJ, producing his own music before learning about the opportunities available in commercial audio post. Prior to joining Heard City, Phillips started his career at Sound Lounge where he worked his way up from Intern to Music Director. His strong relationships with agency producers and experience with a broad range of brands will be an asset to Heard City as the company continues to grow. His proudest work thus far was a campaign for Spotify that won a coveted D&AD Yellow Pencil in 2018.

“Seth is a great addition to our team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in sound design and mixing,” said Gloria Pitagorsky, Partner and Managing Partner at Heard City. “We’re excited for him to jump in and collaborate with the team to help us continue delivering the highest calibre audio post services to brand and agency clients.”

“I am excited to join Heard City and work in such a collaborative environment with some of the best Mixers and Producers in the post production industry. Especially because so many of these folks are also old friends of mine,” said Phillips. “I have always admired the way Heard City works and I look forward to the years ahead.”

At Heard City, Phillips will be working with leading agencies including Merkely, Forsman, McCann, Y & R, McGarry Bowen, and brands including Dell, Mercedes, WhiteCastle, LOreal, Uniqlo, Samsung, Ad Council and more.
