Having collaborated on This Is America, one of the most important and visceral music videos in years, you would have thought that Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) and Hiro Murai would have opted for the easy life for their latest promo.
However, despite its upbeat tempo and gloriously TikTok-baiting choreography, Little Foot Big Foot does not skimp on the shock; placing Glover's 'Johnny and the Pipes' three-piece in a distinctly antagonistic environment that amplifies the track's dark lyrics.
Released as part of the surprise drop of Atavista, the "complete” version of Gambino's 2020 record, 3.15.20, the film, shot through Doomsday Entertainment, utilises its crisp B&W photography, Murai's expert pacing and Glover's ever-engaging performance abilities to create a compelling statement of intent.
