Taking us on a whistlestop, thumping tour of Barbados, Haleek Maul's latest music video for his new single, Verified feat. Chiiief Diin, combines a clear love for the artist's home country along with some attention-grabbing imagery.
Cited as amongst the largest music video productions on Bajan soil in the country's history, Doomsday Entertainment, along with director Gregory Ohrel, presented aspiring Bajan filmmakers with an educational opportunity to see how the making of a video of that scale and budget is executed.
The vid's finances were also achieved in a future-facing manner - with the production company collaborating with sister Web3 creative tech studio DOOMSDAYX on the funding and community side of the music video. Buyers of January’s NFT collection directly funded the music video and in return received a collectible, producer credit, behind-the-scenes access, and perpetual governance stake over a treasury used for other projects and activations.
