Colourist Amy Besate has joined Ambassadors, where she’ll work with local and international clients from the creative production studio’s Amsterdam locations.

Besate has worked in film post-production in London for the past decade, learning her craft as a runner, working as a Baselight product specialist for FilmLight, and later assisting on shows including The Crown and Devs. More recently, she’s cut her teeth on colour grading short form, fashion, music videos, commercials and long-form documentaries such as Vice’s Horimono and Rebellion’s Percival.

“During my time with FilmLight, I visited the Ambassadors colour team at Ambassador Herengracht and imagined myself working in the suite there with them. And here we are! It was very exciting news to hear I’d be coming out from London, and I’m looking forward to making some beautiful work alongside all the different artists here.”

“Amy impressed us straight away with her energy and dedication to the craft of colour grading, and her love of film, photography, culture and community shines through in her work. We’re looking forward to sharing some of the Christmas spots and other projects she’s been working on,” adds founding partner Halbo van der Klaauw.

Besate will be available for in-person colour grade sessions at Ambassadors East and Ambassadors Herengracht, also working with remote clients through Streambox.
