Now that the delayed World Expo 2020 has closed, Nexus Studios has released the film that was the centrepiece of the UAE Pavilion and exclusively screened at the Pearl Theatre to thousands of visitors on a bespoke 24-metre screen.

Created by Tellart and directed by Smith & Foulkes, through Nexus Studios, this beautifully animated film Dreaming Together moves swiftly through scenes as a celebration of the UAE’s rich history.

It takes inspiration from Al Sadu, an embroidery form in geometrical shapes, hand-woven by Bedouin people.

As with the embroidery, the film acts as an instinctive expression of natural beauty, flowing sleekly between rich moments in time, from sprouting trees to diving in deep seas.

To ensure that authenticity ran through every detail, the directors worked closely with an all-female team of Emirate archivists who were consulted on creative decisions every step of the way to create this vibrant and educational film.
