The Woolmark Company's latest initiative centres on a 60-second hero film directed by Cannes Lions and D&AD winners Studio Birthplace, aka Sil Van Der Woerd & Jorik Dozy, that shows people struggling to escape from an oil-filled swimming pool.

A powerful illustration of the alarming fact that every 25 minutes an Olympic pool’s worth of crude oil is used to produce synthetic clothing

Sil van der Woerd & Jorik Dozy commented, “Did you know that 70% of all clothes today are made from synthetics? That's another word for oil. We're literally wearing oil.”

Created by 20something through Park Village, Wear Wool, Not Fossil Fuel is accompanied by striking anamorphic digital OOH in London’s Piccadilly Circus and New York’s Times Square, along with global OOH, social support and an interactive WeTransfer partnership scheduled to coincide with the launch.
