Co-founder of PRETTYBIRD UK, Juliette Larthe has co-directed the new Spiritualized music video with musician Jason Spaceman.
The video captures a live performance, filmed in the band’s studio in Nottingham, of I’m Coming Home Again. A monochrome grade lends a timeless, retro feel.
Larthe and Spaceman recently collaborated on a triptych of films that breathe life into music from the new album, Everything was Beautiful. The promo was produced by Chris Murdoch of PRETTYBIRD with Lottie Lindsay-Bevan assisting with art development and production.

Film cinematographer Ben Rivers shot the live performance with a BOLEX and hand developed the 16mm inserts, with cinematographer Henry Lockyer on Canon EOS C500 Mark II, and Kairo Jones filming on an iPad.
Larthe commented: “We have four songs and only three hours to capture them, so choosing the team for this unusual situation had to be carefully constructed. It was super ambitious to film live in such a small unknown space, out of London.
The feeling of capturing the mood was magical, and it was a privilege to be in the band’s rehearsal space in Nottingham hearing the songs played live in front of an audience for the first time.”
