Knucklehead announce Global representation of director Nathan James Tettey.

Already one of the UK’s most established music video directors, Tettey’s latest video Martin’s Sofa for Headie One, has just launched and was made with his new Knucklehead family.

The video reunites Headie One with Tettey to promote his highly anticipated new single, already a fan favourite after it leaked online last year. Social media buzz soon followed with ‘wheresmartinssofa’ trending on TikTok and the sofa touring the UK last week, creating a hype not seen with previous Headie releases.

The track is a poignant dedication to Martin, his old friend who helped a young Headie through hard times in his formative years, delivered in signature flow and street-smart lyrics with M1OnTheBeat production.  The video features the struggle Headie went through coming up and Martin’s original sofa, and depicts the respect and unique bond they still share today.

On Nathan James Tettey: Bringing a wealth of experience of music video production in a variety of roles, Tettey has directed videos for many of the leading UK artists in pop, grime, rap and hip-hop, among them some of Britain’s biggest musicians, including Headie One, Stormzy, Fredo, and Ghetts, and particularly the rapper Dave, for whom Tettey has directed seven videos, most recently shooting the ad campaign for Dave’s apparel brand Psycho.

Tettey retains a creative consultancy role at Warner Bros Records, where he had been working as a video commissioner for several years. Whilst he wears many hats as a Creative Director, Director and Creative Consultant, Tettey’s main passion is directing, and he has huge ambitions in this area.  It’s this passion and tenacity, as well as an openness to collaborate, that draws the UK’s top artists to work with him.

Tettey now ups the ante even further signing to leading production company Knucklehead.

Tettey said "As a wonderfully hard-headed guy, it’s only right that I’ve joined the Knuckleheads. I’ve long been an admirer of their work and work ethic.”

Knucklehead’s Managing Partner, Tim Katz said: "Nathan’s work is at the very sharpest point of contemporary culture in the UK music scene. He’s a modern-day polymath and joining forces with him to introduce his work to agencies, brands and clients is going to be a wild and enjoyable ride. We can’t wait to get started”.
