London-based production studio, KODE, announce the signing of award-winning, multi-format director and script writer, Joe Dixon to their commercial roster for UK representation.

Specialising in character-first, comedic narratives, Dixon has a unique ability to make audiences smile, laugh and cry.

Dixon began his career making music videos, but quickly transitioned into commercials. His first, for Diesel, ‘Dogs in Sunglasses’, saw him nominated for a shots Young Directors Award at the 2013 Cannes Lions. Making an instant impression in the advertising world, Dixon went on to win numerous awards, including Cannes Lions, British Arrows and APA Show for work with Expedia, Sainsburys and Argos.

A true believer in the importance of collaboration and teamwork, Dixon loves to work with talent both in front of and behind the camera to bring a great piece of work to life. Joining KODE in their tenth year, Dixon’s multi-faceted approach works perfectly in conjunction with the production studio’s pledge to creative generosity and sharing the wonder.

Joe Dixon, Director, KODE said: “I’m incredibly excited to be part of the KODE family. They’re an incredibly dynamic company with a beautiful aesthetic, plus they have a fully functioning bar in the office. I’m very proud to be working with them and am looking forward to creating some superb work.”

Jack Goodwin, EP, KODE adds: “Having been a fan of Joe’s work for a number of years, I could not be happier to be welcoming him to KODE. Joe brilliantly combines performance, VFX and comedy in his work, with a plethora of household names in his reel, I can’t wait to get into making some ads together."
