Hungry Man announce the appointment of Kim Dellara as Executive Producer and Partner.
With her multifaceted experience and unwavering passion for the industry, Dellara’s appointment will further strengthen Hungry Man’s global leadership team.
Dellara’s career began in the creative departments of record labels Capitol, RCA, and Warner Brothers, which led her to become an Executive Producer at renowned music video shops A Band Apart and Propaganda. She eventually helmed RSA's Black Dog films for over a decade, producing a remarkable array of Grammy and MTV award-winning music videos for various artists including The Rolling Stones, Green Day, Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and numerous others. An impressive resume that has yet to impress her teenage son.
Dellara transitioned to advertising in 2011 joining HSI and eventually Caviar LA, producing campaigns for globally recognised brands like Adidas, Nike, Converse, Coca Cola, and GEICO, while simultaneously nurturing her connection to the music industry and spearheading award-winning projects for many of today’s top artists.
Her exceptional leadership skills, strategic insights and collaborative approach will undoubtedly invigorate Hungry Man’s creative endeavours, while her extensive industry network will forge new and exciting partnerships with established and emerging talent alike.
On joining Hungry man, Dellara said, "I have always admired the work coming out of Hungry Man, not only the iconic advertising work, but also their socially conscious pieces, those pieces felt exciting and special to me. Caleb and I have known each other for years and after meeting with the other partners, Bryan, Hank, and Wayne, I immediately felt connected to the company in a way I didn’t expect. It was an honour to be offered this opportunity, and one I just couldn't pass up. It feels like being welcomed into an incredibly close-knit family but without the relatives you unfriended in 2016."
On welcoming Dellara, Caleb Dewart, US Managing Partner said, “Kim is the only person I thought of to come help run Hungry Man. She has an amazing track record of building directors' careers. She’s a sales-focused leader with a great eye, intelligence, and mindset that fits who and what Hungry Man is when we’re at our very best. Also, the odds of at least one EP not wearing a flat bill hat during zoom calls has significantly improved."
Dellara matches Dewart’s enthusiasm, "I am so excited to work with the legendary talents at Hungry Man, while helping to build up and discover the next generation. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the next chapter in my career brings and I will work hard to prove that the best is yet to come from Hungry Man! Also, Caleb, I do own a flat bill. Go Lakers.”
When reached for comment from his annual Boston Baked Bean bake-off, Hungry Man co-founder and director and Boston native Bryan Buckley remarked, while sipping his Dunkin Donuts coffee and caressing his game-worn Larry Bird jersey, “It’s a testament to Kim’s brilliance that we’re bringing her on board in spite of her love of the Lakers”.
