Director Heleen Declercq joins Amsterdam-based production company, Mr.Frank

Coming from a documentary background, the Belgian director sees most of her work guided towards and influenced by the human angle. Her commercial work, which ranges from fashion and charity campaigns, to music and portrait videos, is characterized by strong social representation and a multi-layered, dynamic approach to storytelling. 

“I think Mr.Frank works with some really nice brands,” Declercq says, “and I also appreciate maybe very technical things, like their sense of colour, and their editing style. If you see a film by Mr.Frank. I think that you can tell it’s Mr.Frank, which is important for a director, of course, but even better for a production company.” 

“In our view, Heleen represents the next generation of filmmakers who are pushing film and advertisement onto a new level”, says Mr.Frank founder, Miguel Teixeira. He continued to add that “she’s also an amazing person with a big heart, which is what Mr.Frank is all about: talent, creativity, and kindness.
