CZAR Amsterdam's Kay Lindhout creates beautiful spot for Dutch Railways
Dutch Singer-songwriter Froukje joins forces with the Dutch Railways to give you a feel-good and compelling spot.
The spot, by Dutch creative agency TBWA\NEBOKO, aims to address a change in travel behaviour due to COVID-19.
According to the Dutch Railways, the pandemic has changed our routines and our rhythms are therefore less fixed. This new commercial shows that whatever a day throws at you, the NS app helps travellers to plan their journey quickly and easily: be that by train, bus, bicycle or car.
CZAR Amsterdam director Kay Lindhout, best known for his lyrical manner of storytelling, creates a moving narrative which follows breakout star Froukje, who wrote the song Morgen is het Weer Vandaag (Tomorrow it will be Today Again) especially for this spot. The song is about how a day can go in all directions and Lindhout marries the shots beautifully with the score. The final shot of Froukje at a train station piano leaves us with the feeling that seamless travel allows creatives (or generally busy people) to spend their time on what gives them joy.
