Greenpeace has released a new video aimed directly at streaming powerhouse Netflix encouraging it to commit to using 100 per cent renewable energy. 


 

Using content from some of its own shows, including House of Cards, Jessica Jones and Stranger Things, the clip starts by extolling the virtues of Netflix and the shows it gives us before changing tack and highlighting the fact that companies such as Netflix, Samsung and Twitter are lagging behind other tech giants such as Apple, Facebook and Google which are, says Greenpeace, making greater stridfes towards using 100 per cent renewable energy. 

Greenpeace has also released a report, Clicking Clean: Who is Winning the Race to Build a Green Internet?, which outlines the energy footprints of large data centre operators and nearly 70 of the most popular websites and applications.
