Candy Crush Soda: Breaking News in NYC

It's confectionary chaos in this new spot from Traktor and MPC, created through London agency WCRS, as a new Candy Crush saga begins.

With a soda theme and hinged on the line soda-licious, the commercial sees candies fall from the sky before ordinary people and objects are transformed as they are hit on the streets of New York City. 

The VFX team at MPC used rigs attached to people’s heads, which utilised ping-pong balls as tracking markers. To give the directors complete freedom the CG team recreated the all-important soda and added additional splash elements that were shot separately achieving a fully integrated soda effect. There's also a giant gummy bear - sweet!
