Let's face it, Nike doesn't exactly need to advertise its era-defining, evergreen Brand Jordan range, so that might be why this campaign is so wilfully, and entertainingly, obtuse.
Made up of four barely-branded shorts - DNP, It's The Shoes, Range, and Socks - the SMUGGLER and Frosty Vancouver campaign plays out tiny vignettes that are related to, but not overtly about, basketball and its players/fans.
With a 16mm aesthetic, tempered pacing and joyful absence of commercial conventions, it's easy to see rubberband.'s films as less an exercise in marketing and more a homage to art commissions.
