Karan Chhatwal joins as Senior Producer and Madeline Chapman as Executive Producer.
London based post house OKAY Studio announce updates to it’s production department.
Karan Chhatwal joins as Senior Producer, bringing with him many years of experience from post houses including Gramercy Park, Town Productions and most recently Prodigious, working on various campaigns for clients including EE, Gillette, Braun and HSBC.
On his new role, Chhatwal says “I'm thrilled to be joining OKAY Studio, despite the challenges of 2020, the studio has thrived, and they have a really exciting outlook for 2021 and beyond. I look forward to bringing my experience on board and continue building with the team on what the studio already offers.”
MD Nikolaj Belzer says. “We are over the moon to welcome Karan on board. Not only does he bring a fantastic positive, can-do attitude to the production table but also years of experience handling projects with major clients of all range and scopes. His experience working in different markets is another plus with OKAY expanding and taking on more projects from outside the UK. Karan's skillset goes to the heart of what we are doing here. Offering a one stop point for post production with a focus on the details of each creative discipline. And taking on major campaigns with a nimble team of strong, dedicated people in every department.”
Following an initial stint in a freelance capacity, Madeline Chapman has now joined full time as Executive Producer. Having spent over a decade working in production at agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Creature, BETC, BBH and Wieden & Kennedy, Chapman brings a love of craft, a fresh point of view, and a comprehensive understanding of clients needs.
“Starting a new role in a pandemic was incredibly daunting, but despite the challenges that come with remote working, the team couldn’t have been more welcoming. The passion and spirit of the place radiates, even through a laptop screen. Pivoting from agency production to post has been really gratifying, and the whole team has been very receptive to me bringing new ideas and perspective - I think that really illustrates what a creative and collaborative company it is. Collectively, we have so many ambitions for the studio and I’m glad to be onboard full time to help make them a reality.”
MD Nikolaj Belzer adds: “2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. With that in mind I couldn’t be more chuffed about the way things have been going in 2021, with OKAY pushing out one major campaign after the next. Madeline’s fantastic work through her first six months is a big reason why we are coming out of the pandemic so strong. She brings a wealth of experience and contacts to the table which are already pushing OKAY to another level. Paired with a great sensibility for outstanding creative and an open ear for anyone involved -client or team member - we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fit. We look forward to her continuing to lead our brilliant team of young talents and implementing the vision we’ve got for the coming years at OKAY.”
