Missing Link Films announces a welcome addition to their roster, Bennett Johnson

Bennett Johnson is a London-born, Brooklyn-based director whose work marries exaggerated concepts with deadpan humour. His precise execution and unexpected blending of tones keeps audiences slightly off-balance yet fully absorbed.

He elicits natural, joyful performances from his actors, whether trained or real people, and brings a unique musicality to the pacing of his work. Technically adept, Johnson draws upon a wide array of classic and future-facing filmmaking techniques to bolster foundational ideas, never allowing style to dominate the narrative or act as a substitute for an idea.

He has worked with Apple, Nike, Airbnb, Spotify, USPS, GMC, Snap, and Riot Games, as well as music videos for artists such as J. Cole, Brandy, Gallant, and Foreign Fields, for which he won a Gold Cannes Lions in Film Craft for Hope Inside the Fire.

Ben Link, MD says “Having had the privilege of working with top directors across my career, I can already see Bennett’s star quality and talent, and hold him in the same regard. Welcome to the family.”

Johnson says “I'm absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with Missing Link Films back in Blighty. I can't wait to soak up Ben's wisdom from working with the world's top directors and tap into Heather's savvy and market know-how in the UK. It’s a bit of a dream team for me.”
