This highly creative 30-second film could easily be repurposed as a handy guide for art students, comprising as it does, just about every discipline covered in a foundation year.
Sculpture, CAD, animation, drawing, collage, fashion, textiles are all employed to promote to the Chinese market the new adidas Originals OZWEEGO.
Along with its technical and artistic flourishes, the film also boasts a star-studded cast, including C-pop idol Jackson Yee, Japanese influencer Lala Takahashi, and rapper-producer Dough-Boy.
Talking about its development, Robert Grbevski, VFX Supervisor at Fin Design + Effects said: “Technically-speaking, the film required us to cover a whole range of CG disciplines. It made for an interesting palette of design, ranging from more abstract sequences such as the cuboid figures, which were achieved in Houdini, to the more traditional photo-real effects, such as the mannequins, which we achieved in Maya.”
