Writer/director Ollie Wolf has created a stunning online comedy series of one minute films entitled Neon Lights Entice that deftly explores the wit and humour that’s ever present within the mundanity of life.

Shot during lockdown, the first 5 episodes follow the misadventures of Jeff - a curious thirty something year old - as he discovers the beauty in the everyday whilst navigating ‘the new normal ‘of living with his working from home wife; Jackie.

Fully embracing the creative constraints of lockdown, Caviar's Ollie not only wrote and shot the short form series on a vintage 90’s DV camera but also had to (reluctantly) star in the films too.

“I really thought I could just get away with some graphic shots of the odd hand and foot but the more I got into the filming the richer I knew they’d be if we saw a little bit of “Jeff” but when you can’t cast anyone, I was left with only one option for the role, myself”

Jeff’s adventures take us from the discovery of a rainbow on the stairwell of his flat to a brown sauce stain on his kitchen floor, to the hypnotic joy of watching his toast brown under the grill.

There’s a warmth and charm within each of these 60 second slices of Jeff’s life that you can’t help but smile at.

Ollie adds, “Jeff sees things with an innocence and child-like wonder which I think is a part of myself I’ve tapped into since lockdown. And now Jeff is out and about I’m intrigued to discover what catches his eye in the streets and parks of London. He seems to have a thing about pigeons which I’m just going with, and if it makes me laugh I’ll write it up.”
