To promote TaylorMade's newest driver, the SLDR, collective Strike Anywhere pay homage to the art of the swing with this sweet spot featuring projections.
For the first phase of filming, the directors shot footage of PGA Tour pros Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Jason Day, and Justin Rose at an Ohio location, as well as the TaylorMade Headquarters, which was then cut into a loop for the project, through agency Eleven Inc. Next, the directors shot the looped footage on location as it streamed via high-end projectors at the golf course at night. This required much technical preparation and attention to detail, with each shot having to be set over and over again to perfectly nail each take in real time. Strike Anywhere captured nearly every frame of the projected sequences from a practical projection, forgoing the use of VFX in all but the final shot.
