CDDP Launches & Calls For Entries

CDDP Launches & Calls For Entries

The AICP launches Commercial Directors Diversity Program to champion female & minority directors.

The Association of Independent Producers (AICP) yesterday launched its Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP), in an attempt to improve the number of female and minority commercial directors.

Created in partnership between the AICP and the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the program directly responds to the current underrepresentation of these directors in adland by striving to present the work of unsigned directors to AICP members in January 11 2017 at LA’s DGA Theater.

It’s hoped that the program will introduce emerging directors to production companies with the hope of getting them signed.

“This program will assist the ever-important discovery of new diverse talent for production companies; fledgling directors will have the opportunity to explore a career path in advertising; and the industry will gain access to more talent that can provide a broader range of perspectives on storytelling and creativity,” says the AICP’s president/CEO Matt Miller. “A true win-win-win.”

The CDDP program is now calling for entries, so read the criteria instructions and click here to enter.
