Carly Cussen began her directing career unlike most. After finishing her GCSEs and telling her teacher she'd one day lift an Oscar, she went about putting the plan into action by writing to production companies and running at Pinewood Studios. In the meantime, she'd be directing low-budget grime music videos and teaching herself to edit, grade and subsequently rack up millions of views on YouTube.
