After the success of last year’s Teletransporter, which picked up a Grand Prix at Cannes in Outdoor, Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi are back with another stunt for Andes Beer. Once again helping to set men folk free from their clingy girlfriends, the agency created the Andes Friend Recovery (AFR) – a robot with built in video conference system.
With the life-like robots placed in bars around Mendoza, hen-pecked boyfriends forced to stay at home by their other halves could login online and be virtually transported into the robot via webcam. And with special facial recognition technology, their mates in the bar could see them and interact with them too. During the campaign, the AFR website helped recover over 5,000 friends amd received two million hits, and the installations were backed up with TV, OOH and radio messages.
