Michael DiGirolamo heads up the West Coast operation after eight years at Anonymous Content as head of sales and vice president. With a wealth of experience managing directors such as Frank Budgen, Michel Gondry and Malcolm Venville, he also leads the company's integrated media efforts. Caroline Gibney, ex-executive producer at Hungry Man, also signs up in Los Angeles. Anchoring the East Coast in New York is Tom Rossano, again joining from the Hungry Man team. And in London, Adam Lyne, formerly of MJZ, brings 25 years of production experience to the European arm.

"Our focus will be on creating interesting and innovative work in all formats, conventional advertising and integrated media," said Orent. "We want to be able to take more chances with our filmmaking and compete for the best high-profile work worldwide. We also want to be active in creating projects from ideas to pitch to physical production and post. We know we are not recreating the wheel at Station, so the objective is to do things better."

Station's roster opens up with five distinct directors; Owen Harris, Harold Einstein, Vance Malone, David Gray and Brendan Gibbons. And Orent promises more eclectic additions in the months to come. "I want this new company to be able to create and compete with some of the more contemporary companies of today. By being more diverse with talent it opens the opportunities for more crossover between directors. Keeping Station mid-sized and intimate will give the roster of talent the ability to learn and help one another grow and experience opportunities outside the comfort zone," he said.

Adam Lyne added: "I think between us we have the experience and drive to bring something innovative and interesting to the market. From my personal standpoint the challenge of building the company from the ground up, nurturing the talent we have, and bringing in others - whether they are established names or relative newcomers - is an exhilarating one and one that I will absolutely relish. I can't wait to get started."

And if you needed another dose of ambition, the fun doesn't stop here - Orent is planning to build a sister brand, focusing on new media and direct marketing and dedicated to providing full-service opportunities to mid-sized clients.
