Headlining this week, TBWA/Chiat/Day New York's executive creative director Gerry Graf has left to join Saatchi & Saatchi New York as chief creative officer. Graf, who made his mark with campaigns for Skittles, Starbust and Nextel, replaces Tony Granger.
Bikini Films has signed Peter Lydon from Hungryman. Lydon, best known for work for Orange and FCUK, said: "I was really impressed by the quality and diversity of the work being done at Bikini."
London based directing duo Ubik, winners of last year's British Television Advertising Craft award for best animation for their piece 3650, have been snapped up by Not to Scale for representation in commercials and music videos.
Headlight has added an experienced animation director to its books with the signing of John Clausing. With heavyweights on his CV such as Psyop, TBWA/Chiat/Day and BBDO Worldwide, his projects have included Gillette, Samsung and Panasonic.
Crossroads has signed Icelandic directing duo Samuel & Gunnar to its commercial team. As editors, they have worked on various commercials, music videos and feature films through Spark productions and Sagafilm in Iceland.
Award-winning Jon Williams has joined Grey London as chief creative officer in one of a series of moves aimed at transforming the company into a multi-discipline creative house. Williams comes from Beattie McGuinness Bungay where he was head of digital (creative), and had previous spells at Harrison Troughton Wunderman and Publicis.
Rick Rosenberg has joined Thomas Taber & Drazen as executive creative director. He arrives after three years at Campbell/Ewald in both Los Angeles and Detroit and five years with the Miller Group in Santa Monica.
Design and VFX house Manic has hired Melissa Warhaftig as executive producer/director of operations. She joins from jumP Editorial, and previously worked at JWT.
Sara Matarazzo has joined Search Party Music as executive producer. She has worked as a music producer at Ogilvy & Mather, New York on brands such as American Express, Motorola, DHL, Unilever, and Fanta.
PostWorks Los Angeles has taken on two digital technology specialists. Jim Houston joins as senior vice president for imaging, while Jeff Quinn joins as vice president for engineering.
Ascent Media Creative Services has hired Gareth Mullaney as a new member of its business development team, focusing on broadcast post-production. Most recently he worked as a consultant for Resolution.
Bryan Farhy, Wayne Holloway, and Christophe Navarre have left UNCLE to form LA-based commercial production company Restless. The three met while at RSA.
Crush Editorial in Santa Monica has signed Richard Cooperman as an editor. He worked at Brass Knuckles Editorial on videos for artists including Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Lauryn Hill, and on commercials for products such as L'Oreal, Budweiser and Jeep.
Former independent rep Paul Muniz has been enlisted as Anonymous Content's in-house head of East Coast sales and management. Lisa Sabatino continues her in-house repping duties for the NY office, while independent David Wagner manages Midwest duties, and Michael Di Girolamo looks after the West.
Villians has taken on Ann Mckallagat of PI for its East Coast representation. Doug Sherin and Kim Griswold continue repping on the West Coast while Kelly Halphine and Kitty Monaghan act for Villians in the Midwest.
