COKE ZEROS IN ON VIRALS

16 May 2007

Coca-Cola and McCann-Erickson Germany have launched a viral film competition in which the winning entrant will get to direct a McCann-Erickson charity project.
The competition, titled Pitch!, asks young directors to submit films of no longer than three minutes on the theme of "Coke Zero: A Man's Life As It Should Be" which will have the necessary ingredients to spread like wildfire on the web.

A panel of judges consisting of key figures at Coca-Cola Germany and McCann-Erickson Germany will select a shortlist which will be posted on the Bitfilm Club's website for a final round of public voting.

First-, second- and third-placed films will win 6000, 3000 and 1000 Euros respectively, while the winner will also take part in the production of a commercial.

The entry deadline is August 1.

Coca-Cola recently launched a similar competition in Australia with advertising agency Singleton's.
