So we've all seen that crazy ass video with the kid freaking out about his World of Warcraft account being deleted. On a similar wavelength there's a new spot from Tarsem for Mountain Dew promoting the brand tie-in deal. Artificial blue drink... Insane ADD episode... Hmm...

Right now on eBay some guy is auctioning his dissertation on the truth about the birth of Barak Obama - the deal being there's a general speculation that Obama was born in Kenya and thus ineligible for the Presidency. No birth certificate has been released so far and this other website is offering $25million if he'll supply it.... Maybe they'll win a Titanium Lion next year???

Ever since 'spontaneous' public flash mobbings became part of the language of advertising it feels like they'e lost their rebellious edge and turned into a spectator/tourist sport. So you all remember that Cher vocoder track from back in the day? There's a new tool called Autotune that pumps out a similarly budget sounding pitch correction effect and these jokers have put it to work on various news clips. The one below's the viral hit but the third vid is probably better.

McAfee Scaremongering?
Sticking a finger up at the softly-softly approach to marketing, McAfee have taken a more threatening line with their latest campaign. The gist of a series of online web films released at www.stophcommerce.com is basically 'without our products "you lose money, you lose the love of your husband, you lose your job."' Why is it always the same people who report UFO sightings that fall victim to online scamming? Perhaps it's a brain cell issue and not a software issue...?
